Governance Process Framework

RF Improvement Proposals (RIP)

Objective

To establish a transparent and standardized process for proposing, discussing, and implementing changes or improvements within the Runes Fund.

Scope

This framework applies to all proposed changes, improvements, including but not limited to technical enhancements, governance frameworks, and operating procedures.

Proposal Submission

  1. Proposal Requirement: Proposers must clearly articulate the problem or opportunity, propose a detailed solution, and provide a rationale for the change or improvement.

  2. REF Improvement Proposal (RIP) Template: Proposals must be submitted using the RIP template, which includes sections for the proposal's title, abstract, motivation, specification, rationale, and any challenges.

  3. Initial Discussion: Before formal submission, proposers are encouraged to discuss their ideas on community platforms (e.g., Discord, forums) to gather preliminary feedback.

Proposal Review and Discussion

  1. Formal Submission: After incorporating initial feedback, the proposal is formally submitted as a RIP to the designated platform (e.g., GitHub repository) for community review.

  2. Community Discussion Period: A defined discussion period ensues, during which the community, including token holders, developers, and stakeholders, can comment, suggest modifications, and ask questions.

  3. Revision and Improvement: Based on community feedback, the proposer may revise the RIP for clarity, feasibility, and broader acceptance.

Voting and Implementation

  1. Voting Eligibility: All RF token holders are eligible to vote on RIPs, with voting power proportional to token holdings.

  2. Voting Process: Voting takes place using a transparent and secure platform, following a predetermined period for community discussion.

  3. Implementation: Approved RIPs are scheduled for implementation, with progress updates provided to the community.
